Nashville, TN (February 3, 2014) ---- Centricity Music’s new rock band, Carrollton (formerly Mosteller), will release their debut EP, Breathe In Deep, on February 11th. The project features nine original songs written or co-written by members of the band who were joined by some of the most respected songwriters in Christian music, including David Leonard (All Sons & Daughters), Sam Mizell, Justin Ebach, Matt Armstrong and Josh Bronleewe, among others. Breathe In Deep was produced by Paul Moak (Third Day, Matt Maher) and was recorded in Nashville at Smoakstack Studio. The first single, "Pass You By," goes for adds at radio on Feb 7th.
"Over the years, one guiding principle has served us well when making decisions about who we do and do not sign,” explains John Mays, Vice President of A&R, Centricity Music. “Who the people are is more important to Centricity Music than the music they make. When it came to the decision to work with the guys in Carrollton, it didn't take us long to realize that both the music and the people were the right fit for us. We're excited for the rest of the world to be encouraged, not only by the music that Carrollton is making, but the lives they are living."
The band was formed in 2008 when Carrollton started leading worship at youth camps, conferences and churches throughout the southeast. The band quickly started garnering a strong fanbase and released their first independent album, This Is Life. Carrollton gained national recognition due to their ability to present songs that could reach the churched and unchurched alike. Their talent and success captured the attention of Centricity Music, and the band’s first song, “What Child Is This,” was featured on Centricity’s holiday multi-artist project, Christmas: Joy To The World. The group is comprised of four band members; bassist Jordan Bailey, drummer Michael Loy, lead guitarist Jeremy Menard and lead vocalist/guitarist Justin Mosteller. Carrollton is managed by Eaglemont Entertainment (Jason Gray, Aaron Shust).
